Using Images for This Project

Images will make your website visually interesting, and are important informational elements in your project. Make sure to do the following with images for this project:

Put a caption on all your images.
Cite each image in your bibliography.
Only use images from either reputable databases or websites, or images that are "rights free" or available for reuse. Most images have copyrights.

There are millions of high quality photos in this database. Look up the city name, and find related images that show culture, industry, politics, etc. A citation is provided so use the information to create your CAPTION.

Advanced Google Image Search
It is best if you select images that have been labeled for reuse so that you are not using images without permission. To do this:

Do a Google IMAGE search
Click on TOOLS
Click on USAGE RIGHTS
Click on CREATIVE COMMONS LICENSES

Photos for Class
Morgue File

Creating captions for your images

Use this caption format:

Images from websites --> Author. "Title." Website Name. Web

Images from a database --> Author. "Title." Database Name. Web

Tips for creating captions:

Fill in the information in red from the original source.
If there is no author, then skip it.
Titles can be shortened or simple descriptions if they are not provided.
